Virus.Virut.r is a nasty virus that distributes itself through P2P file sharing applications, IRC network, and over network shares. Once installed, Virus.Virut.r will stay memory resident and will try to infect any .exe or .scr files that are executed on your PC. Virus.Virut.r will also open up a backdoor through which an attacker can gain access to any data stored on your machine, such as personal and financial information. Virus.Virut.r may also employ your PC to perform illegal botnet attacks.
