MalwareBell threat: information and removal

MalwareBell (also known as MalwareBell 3.2) is a new rogue anti-spyware program, not unlike any other rogue. MalwareBell infects the system by using trojans, such as Zlob (or, reportedly, Zlob’s clone - WinSurf). MalwareBell tried to create a motive for the user to buy it’s "licensed version". One way of telling you have been infected by this parasite, is a popup or fake system notification, which says you have been infected by Trojan.Win32.SystemCrash - a fake threat. Once inside and active, MalwareBell will use popups and fake system notifications to misinform the user of the existence of an infection on the system. These claims are false, but address the goal of intimidating the user quite properly. Once the user has been convinced of the imminent danger that surely awaits him, he will be prompted to buy the full version of MalwareBell to dispose of it. MalwareBell’s website, albeit prettier than usually, is nothing out of the ordinary: there is no contact information and the content is a completely useless mix of fear-mongering and self-praise. Needless to say, MalwareBell doesn’t use a legitimate payment system and the domain is registered to a person named "Domain Admin", which brings up serious issues concerning the his or her parents’  mental health. MalwareBell is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block MalwareBell.com using your HOSTS file.
