Antivir64 is a rogue anti-spyware program from the family of rogues consisting of Power Antivirus 2009 and and Win Antivir 2008. Antivir64 is advertised through misleading web sites and advertisements on the Internet that state your computer is infected with malware. If you click on any of the buttons on these ads, a fake web scanner will appear that pretends to be scanning your computer for infections. When the scanner has finished it will then state that your computer is infected and that you should download and install Antivir64 in order to remove these infections. If you decide to download and install the program, Antivir64 will be set to automatically run when your computer starts. It will then scan your computer and state that you are infected with a variety of malware that cannot be removed unless you first purchase the program.
